School Supply Giveaway THRIVE Youth Summit (Community Event)
BayouSTEM will be participating in the FutureFORWARD Youth Summit, hosted by THRIVE!, on August 1st with a table featuring swag giveaways and information about our programs.
This free, two-day community event includes a school supply giveaway, college preparation sessions, interactive STEM experiences, wellness workshops, school physicals, and connections to valuable community resources designed to help students and families prepare for the new school year.

Geared Up: A Touch-a-Truck Experience at BCCM
Get ready for a day of big trucks, hands-on STEM, and family fun! BayouSTEM is proud to sponsor the STEM experiences at GEARED UP! Touch-a-Truck, hosted by the Bayou Country Children's Museum.
Kids can climb aboard and explore a variety of trucks and heavy equipment, meet the people who operate them, and enjoy interactive activities throughout the museum. Be sure to stop by the BayouSTEM exhibit, where our FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team will be showcasing their competition robot and demonstrating how robotics, engineering, and teamwork bring it to life.

Look Who's Reading Book Festival (Community Event)
BayouSTEM is excited to participate in the 3rd Annual Look Who's Reading Book Festival, presented by Tri Parish Organizers. Stop by our STEM table to see our FRC Robotics Team #9699 Bayou Crusaders showcase their competition robot!
This free, family-friendly festival celebrates literacy, creativity, and imagination through books, authors, illustrators, artists, workshops, giveaways, and engaging activities for all ages. This year's theme, "Restoring the Imagination," invites the community to discover the power of reading, storytelling, and creative expression.

New Teacher Experience: Summer Kick Off 2026 by DOE
The Louisiana Department of Education's New Teacher Experience: Summer Kick Off 2026 is a free professional development event designed to welcome and support new teachers across Louisiana. Participants will engage in professional learning, connect with fellow educators, explore resources for beginning teachers, and learn about Louisiana's New Teacher Experience program. Lunch and a welcome tote bag are included.

Career exploration camp that focuses on recruiting girls to STEM programs. We will cover topics from engineering, robotics, computer science, chemistry, medicine, biology, allied health, etc. This camp is open for children from grades 1st-12th.
